Well I sold a couple of Cubs a week ago or so, then this pops up on Craigslist.

It's a 1965 John Deere 110. I have wanted one of these for some time but could never find one in my price range (cheap). Anyway, it doesn't run but nearly everything is there and not in bad shape. I made the PO an offer dependent on a favorable compression test. He agreed so I went home to get my truck & trailer and compression tester. A compression test turned up 130 lbs of compression!! The tractor doesn't have spark which is what dropped it into my price range!

That will be a nice one to make pretty. I worked at our local JD dealer while in high school and the owner had one of these to trade-in on a new deere. He had the guys in service restore it to day-one new. It was really nice.
My wife's dad gave us his dad's 1970 110 when we got married...it was the first hing I ever made like-new.

Ricky, I have 2 JD 112, they are fun little machines. I can't see the images so I couldn't tell which engine you got. There is still a lots of parts available for them. Lots of them parted out on ebay. I know you will enjoy your new toy.

I've got a '74 110 that I bought for a back up mower a few years ago. My Dad has a '71 210 that he bought new and is still using it today at age 88. The engine has never been apart on it!
