Ford/fergueson

We have a 55 fergueson to-35 that is hopefully going to be worked on soon. My question is will a rear end from a n series ford fit it? since they are so similar

I can't imagine it fitting or you wanting to do it. The 55 probably has a 2-stage clutch for one thing, doesn't int?

Check with the folks on ytmag's Ford forum or the N forum. The folks on the Ford forum always set me straight with my 861. From the stuff I've read there someone will be able to tell you exactly why it will, or won't, work.

The 8N will not fit for a bunch of reasons. I have a '47 8N and by looking I don't think the hole will match up in the first place.
