Collecting and repairing old tractors is indeed one of my favorite things to do, however I really enjoy working the old iron.
Last week we had had several perfect hay making days and I had the pleasure of helping my son in law and grand sons make hay. One of my Oliver 77's is shown here. It was also used to operate the haybine. That old long stroke engine just hums and lumbers endlessly around the field, once in a while the governor will kick slightly when it climbs an incline. I hope you enjoy the pic.

Sorry I missed this picture. We use our "88" for the haybine and bailer. Same Waukesha powerhouse engine as our 77 which has our trip bucket loader on it.
I'd love to see the some pics of your OC-3 crawler.

Using the term old iron on equipment that was "modern farming" when I grew up makes me feel like a museum piece. Dad's M, the red kind, didn't open the gov much while baling but the H did and I kind of liked to hear it. What kind of baler is that? At first I wanted to say Case but then backed off. Enjoyed the pic and keep 'em running. Vern

I'm rather sure it is a New Holland, it belongs to our son inlaw and he does all of the maint. He works full time at our local hospital in maint. and farms on the side and is not able to afford a new high priced tractor. The oliver does everything a new one would do, it has live pto and hydraulics.

Thank you for sharing that picture, Bezirk. What I like about it is, no matter how hard you look at it, there's nothing in the picture that would make you think you weren't still in the 1950's.

They had shorts then but I don't think I wore them baling hay.

Plus nobody ever offered for me to be an "observer" ! :D
