Gandy was (is?) an aftermarket supplier of equipment for applying chemicals. I don't know how wide a selection of equipment they made. This is an applicator hopper for putting down granular chemicals for weed or pest control. IH sold them as an attachment for row crop planters.

I've been to Jim's home, and you are right. But not only does he have a great resource center, he has ine inclination to use it and the willingness to help others. that makes a great combination.
