Was it a Chrysler "leaning tower of power? Our first 300 had a Chrysler slant 6. That machine burned up in the field. The one that replaced it had the perkins diesel.

The one he is talking about would have been the flathead 6.

Right, flathead 6. If you think that the Cub magneto is a problem to time if it is all disassembled, that flathead 6 ignition timing began when installing the oil pump. If the pump was installed correctly, the rest of it was easy. But getting the pump right was not easy. Sorry for getting the thread off track.
