This Case vac was converted into a va by someone!----dash tag still good and readable too!

Image

There is no square holes in the casting under the rad. for the cultivator or loader squares to go into!---the other vac that I have has these cutouts!---I assume thats why the owner did the conversion!---tractor has a good working eagle hitch on the rear!
I had my Woods RM-59 mower on it.---right now its all under 5 feet of snow! thanks; sonny

Actually that is neither a VAC nor a VA. It is a VAI, the industrial version of the VAC. Extra heavy duty front end and the small 24" rear wheels.

The serial tag on the dash says vac, and the long rear axles have been cut off with a torch, so I don't have a clue of what it is supposed to be! --or what it started out in life as!---I would still like to find that out if possible! any suggestions or ideas would be helpful! thanks; sonny

What year is this beauty ? From what I can see it is a modified VAC. The steering arm and linkage on a VAI is parallel to the ground. The grill on a VAI goes all the way to the bolster, not like the narrow front VAC. I will try to post a couple pictures of my 1950 VAI for you to compare with. Also the shift pattern is different on the VAI.

I am no means a Case expert, but from what I see and have read about the VAI, yours is a owner modified VAC.
