Hello all
I recently purchased a New Idea model 10 one row corn picker. It seems to be
In pretty good shape for its age, aside from a gathering chain and a couple of
Brass bushings that need replacing. I have searched the Internet over and cannot
Find a repair or parts book of any kind. Can anyone help?

Normally when you don't get a response on this forum it is because no one has the answer. I know nothing about corn pickers other than when I was a kid and got the "down row". Hopefully someone can help so I am bumping this back to the top.

Try AGCO and see if they have access to a parts catalog and parts.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: New idea corn picker
Gathering chains are usually standard stamped steel parts, or close enough. Many bushings can cut to size from hardware store bushings or even made from scratch.

Re: New idea corn picker
The #10 was a VERY popular 1-row picker and in high demand today!---the guy that I bought my DEERE # 18 from has one and was telling me that in that part of KY. is loaded with these # 10's as is south OH.
Try jensales or other manual dealers for books on them!
Collectors here in IL. have been bringing them in from other states because they can haul them a lot easier than the 2-row models! thanks; sonny
