Box of mystery parts

Postby Paul Van Benschoten » Tue Dec 06, 2016 3:18 pm

Last year I picked up a cub with some extras. The seller was clearing out a shed and put a bunch of odds and ends in my truck. I didn't stop him  Some of it is junk, like broken brackets and rusty bolts. Some things were easy to identify, like a right angle drive with belt pulley for a jeep with PTO. Now I have a few things left that I do not think are Cub related. Maybe someone here can help me identify them.

First is a plowshare with SYRACUSE cast into the back along with 32 C-F 62 452 and a D in a circle. On the Front, in red paint is a barely readable:
Genuine
Syracuse
Best on Earth

The only thing I have found about Syracuse Plowshares is an annual craft fair.

Second is a throttle quadrant, I think, with grey paint on red, possibly primer. It has a number cast into it HG0500612 that I have not found in a Google search.

Third is a double pulley with a helical gear. The pulleys are 3.5 inches in diameter.

I can get better pictures and dimensions if anyone is interested.

I will add a few more items in a second post.

I do not know how to describe the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth items so I'll just include pictures.

The cover has BH 131 A cast on the inside

First part, Syracuse horse-drawn plow, no doubt a walk-behind. Company acquired by John Deere. Look closely at the "D" in a circle. You will see it is a JD logo.
