109 Hydrostatic Drive Adjustment

Postby Al Wilson » Mon Oct 27, 2003 8:27 pm

I recently aquired a Cadet 109 with Hydrostatic drive. Everything seems to work Ok with this tractor except the hydrostatic drive lever will not stay put. It slowly slows down from the set position, and I have to keep pushing the lever back up. Isn't there some way to adjust the friction on this lever? Thanks.

I'm not sure just where it is on your tractor, but if you follow the hydrostat lever to it's pivot point you should find a friction adjustment.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

This may help.

A owners and sevice manual may help too. They can be had from Binder books.
Had a '57 Lo-boy, and loved it!! Will have another...
