NO i tried one of them they don't do the job and you cannot use liquid in that type omly sand

Lots of good ideas here. I like to use a glass bead blaster that I made. Tumblers are nice but if you leave the bolts in it too long you will round off the corners which looks especially bad on square headed bolts and nuts. I haven't found a good source for new square head fasteners. You can use a flat file to square things up if needed.
I use cast blast paint for refinishing natural or unpainted fasteners. Reviewing the installation or assembly manual is a good source for finding out whether the bolts were natural or painted. The items that were factory assembled usually were painted with the unit. Any parts you had to bolt together during installation usually were unpainted.
