Likes Cubs and is learning to be a residential contractor.. boy you done got it in spades. It amazes me at how much many of us have in common for our interests both in careers/professions as well as our hobbies.
It shows in your work that I have seen both on the forum and personally, that you pay attention to detail. As a contractor.. that is one of the most important facets... paying attention to detail and making sure EVERYTHING is the absolute very best you can make it. No such thing as Good Enough.. ever
I really am looking forward to the day we get to finally meet And, btw.. next to New Brunswick you live in the prettiest country in North America

Hi Nik
I'm new here myself. Nice to cyber-meet you.
Northern Maine? Well then, you're pretty much a Canadian like Rudi and I! You're quite a bit farther north than I am here in southwestern Ontario. The organization where I work has a regional office in Sackville, NB, and does a lot of bird monitoring and science work in the Bay of Fundy area. I actually plan to try go get a project of my own started in the Gulf of Maine within the next couple of years.
18 years old - other than being twice your age, it sounds like we have some things in common, including cub-fever. And, at 36, I'm likely still one of the relatively young'uns here myself! You've got a big head-start on a lot of us, so, by the time you're 40, you ought to have 20 or 30 cubs in your collection!
Do you have larger photos of your cub available to view. ...I'll look on the cubfest photo host...
As some of you might have guessed by my profile photo, I'm also an archaeology nut, especially when it comes to finding arrowheads and other artifacts in our local plowed fields (that's an arrowhead photo and illustration in the top right inset of my profile photo).
regards,

Hey NIK...It's nice to see a picture of your Cub up close I like your '48...Looks Just Like Mine with the Master Control Lever and NO HYDRAULICS...Just like they came out of the factory I see you have no lights or battery set up...I'll bet your Cub cranks over just fine on those "chilly Down-East Mornings"

That's some beautiful scenery in the background, Nik! Do you raise Christmas trees? Great looking Cub, too! The fellow that I used to by hay from has one of those dump trailers; a very handy tool to have at one's disposal. My parents were married in Portland, in a large Cathedral. I think it was called St. Peters. I've been a lot of places, but haven't made it to Maine yet. I think that is one of three states East of the Missisippi that I haven't been in!
All this proves is that one gnome pounding on the keyboard for years still will not produce the works of Shakespeare.
