Hi Dee Ho, from coastal Connecticut!
An enthusiastic hello to all you wonderful Cub lovers! Last Oct. I purchased
a 1959 Farmall Cub (ser.# 213121 J) which came with a York rake and a
belly mower. Shortly after, I had some elective surgery on both hands (I'm
progressing well). While I'm on the mend, your incredible forum has been a
tremendous inspiration.
As a youngster, I lived and worked on a relative's farm for a summer. Later
as a young adult, I operated a tractor and mowed fields for a farmer friend.
It's an awesome experience being connected to the soil, injesting its fra-
grance. I've always admired the vital role of tractors in the 20th century of
our country... yet I NEVER dreamed I'd one day own one! She's a beauty
(and you'd think so too), a bit rough around the ankles & definitely needing a TLC restoration. But she sounds so sweet... and I absolutely love her!
Thanks for being the wonderful sharing resource that you are. It's great to be part of the Farmall Cub family. Best regards to all, Kit

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Kit - the dog in the picture belongs to Donny Millar (Donny M) here on the forum. It is indeed a chocolate lab and it has the dubious honor of being named after me.
My dogs are chinese shar pei. We are down to 2 dogs now - a 10 year old black brushcoat male and a 7 year old bearcoat female.

Thanks, Bob. Clinton is a lovely town, but I think Southbury is really beautiful. I spent a lot of time there when they built Southbury Village in the 60's - I was trying to earn money as a painter to go to UCONN. The image of your gorgeous rolling hills, woodlands & busy well-kept farms is still fresh in my mind.

Part of the "best community of people on the net"
Rondell, you are soooo right! I can't tell you how delighted I am to be a part of this cub community. And aren't you great to take the time to welcome me. Hope we can help each other on fixin' stuff in the future. At any rate, we're gonna have fun!
