O-6 Orchard tractor

Postby Bob McCarty » Wed Jan 17, 2007 11:47 pm

I didn't write down the number, but eBay had the two curved side panels for an O-6 orchard model tractor. They sold for $4800.00! That would have been good for three Cubs and it didn't even include the tractor. Glad I'm not into the high priced stuff.

Those orchard models can be quite the collector's item. I think they are neat looking. A lot of work to restore and as you noted - sheet metal parts reflect their rarity in their cost.

Yeah those went crazy, sad thing there's a guy who makes those reproduction for $875 a pair! Bet the high bidder didn't know that. We bought our O-4 with a completely rebuilt engine and good batwings for $1800. Our back fenders are junk, we're going to have to make them, but even if we had to pay $4000 to have a set made, we'd be ahead of that guy. :D
