Ralph:

With a start bid of $3,000.00 US and the reserve not met, I seriously doubt that he will get too many bites, but then again, we are talking about eBay now aren't we :?:

Well now, the correct police will probably cite him for the following:

Exhaust
Lights
Cableing
Front Rims
Breather Cap
Seat Pad
Decals
Battery Box
Floor Pan
Radiator Cap

those are just the glaring ones I see, and I am still a newbie at this! I think I will watch it for a while as well. Should be interesting to see what it goes for.

Talking about ebay. Did you guys see those fertilizer hoppers last week. There was a pair listed. They were close to new in shape. The previous owner had greased them to keep them from rusting through. They went for $407!!!! Wish I had 10 of those laying in the back of my shop!

John,
Not a bad tractor but it is not a 1953. :-)
Look at the grill. The grill does not match the decals so who knows what year it is!!
Mike
30 + tractors including 2 French Super Cubs, French Cubs, 1963 Industrial Cub, 1955 Cub Highcrop etc...German and French built IH tractors and some bigger IH tractors. Of course I have about 20 IH trucks and an IH refridge in the Shop.

And then there's this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2581696831&category=50920

"Lowers the rear for a nice look". Eh? That's not a good looking tractor if one was to ask my opinion. It looks like a 5 hole Chevy rim. Poor tractor!

Maybe my memory is goofed up. I see Jim has a 560 style grill on his tractor and he has decals on the hood with horizontal ribs.
This isn't right according to correct police standards is it?
I kind of like the looks of the tractor this way but I am partial to the red and whites. :-)

From what I could see in the rest of the picture, the wheels may be the best thing aobut it. Did you notice the seat belt?

John, I'm sure you would need the seat belt with those Uniroyal Tiger Paws on your Cub. I can only guess how well a Cub would handle in the curves with those treads on it!

15" tires on a Cub??? I doubt that cornering would be any concern at all. A Cub with std rubber goes what...1;2 and 6 mph? With that much reduction in circumference it would surely be a slowpoke!

You guys are looking at it all wrong! Sure the tractor is not close to original, butt who cares. it looks very professionally done and for someone who may just want to use it, it may be better than original.
