Problems with "ralph's" site???

Postby BigBill » Sat Mar 17, 2007 5:29 am

I tried to go to ralphs.com cub parts site to browse for parts and everytime i get dropped off the net as soon as the little cub tractor starts to load. Does anyone else have this problem or is it my puter only?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Site problem

Postby wrhayes » Sat Mar 17, 2007 5:58 am

I cannot access it at all. I use a linux Operating System (not Microsoft) & his site will crash. I've emailed him a few times but about parts but received on response so I gave up!

Guys:

A number of people have been experiencing net problems as of late. Adelphia customers may have been experiencing the same problems for longer that Rogers.com customers (me) had yesterday. I could not access http://www.farmallcub.com initially and then it cascaded to many other sites..and worsened then absolutley nothing.

Seems Rogers had a massive DNS problem in Torontol

I was getting site unreachable errors on http://www.farmallcub.com yet was able to ping http://www.google.com and was able to ping farmallcub.com via http://www.tracert.com. Dennis tried and could not reach Rogers.com from his end, which is how we finally figured out there was a problem.

Contact your local ISP and enquire about cascading DNS failures etc., within the network. They are usually resolvable quickly once isolated. This is my understanding of what has occured.

Hey Ralph,
I sent you a message about a week ago and never got a response. I just figured you were busy taking another cub apart! I've tried to go to your web site during this time and all I get is a yellow background with your little red cub running around chugging right along! (good sound) and the sunshine! But there's no content nothing just the blank yellow page.
I had some ISP problems the last couple of weeks but anywhere else I go on the net works fine. Anyone have any ideas what may have changed on my setup since everyone else seems to get Ralph just fine?

Thanks
Ron
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
