clem and the beanstalkA fella traded me a cub today for 5 majic beans. He said that if I plant them they would grow about 6 feet tall and would flower and keep mosquitos away. He called them mosquito plants. Has anyone ever heard of this before? They are from Georgia.
I got a cub for my wife once. But the guy brought her back...........

I have seen the mosquito plants advertised in some of the organic gardening magazines I used to get, but I don't know how well they work.

Better kill that entry before Momma Dog sees it. She will have to have a great sense of humor for you to survive the beating.
In my case it would be ok. Bev has a great sense of humor, otherwise she would not have married me. Bill

Uh oh!!!!!!
Just wait until the "organic folks" get to this one... It is a GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM (GMO)... The organic, all natural, crowd is gonna be really upset with this one... Mike in La Crosse, WI Mike in Gibsonia, PA
First time I've ever heard of them. Pretty interesting, might be worth giving them a try.
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born I washed her and greased her and painted her red Now she lives happily right here in my shed. HOME of THE STONETHROW CUBFEST 2007 Cub Tug Champion
Had one at a house I rented a few years back. Didn't look too bad, but it didn't work too good, either. It was planted next to a walkway and used to grow into the way frequently such that I would have to trim it back. I recall being overwhelmed with mosquitos while trimming it, so I'm not sure this is the promise science claims it to be.
Than again, that place had so many darned mosquitos, it would have taken a whole yard of the stuff to make a difference.
