HR,
I never owned a true Piper Cub, but I enjoyed trading rides with others who did. The closest I ever came was a partnership Vagabond Cub... A PA-15. It had an interesting "N" number: N4321H. ![]() George Willer

Donny, Wasn't Delta's original fleet PT-17 Stearmans? Just a guess. George Willer

No, I believe it was the "Huff-Daland Duster", as it was called. Didn't really look too much like a Stearman. Not sure the Stearman was around in the '20's. Started carrying mail, east and west to Dallas and Atlanta, when they were not spraying cotton. HR
Mike,
I agree that the term "Restored" is a greatly abused term; but, I think to your average tractor enthusiast it means 'Runs and looks good". I know that there are several different levels of restoration. That's why I don't see any problem with adding some personality to a project. Maybe we should say" Custom Restoration" for our less than perfect grade 1 work. To me, TimT's Cub is "restored". I am sure it runs good and I know it looks good. And the hell with the correct police. Oscar 48 CUB & 52 Super A
Well I am redoing My Cub and dont claim to call it a restored machine. SO, when people ask me if it is restored I will say "Nope", Its a re-did`ud-up one.
HR`s Cub must be a low-boy sportin yellow colors, Then came Bronson
I have seen very few tractors that I actually considered restored (I agree with Jim's definition). I see a lot of rebuilt ones, rehabbed ones, refurbished ones (hopefully my 49 when I get it back), and customized ones (my 48 with all the modifications I've made to it), but truly restored ones are rare.
