HIGH HOPES

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Sun Feb 29, 2004 6:38 pm

I know I'm cheap, but the guy selling this cub on Ebay really has high hopes. Wonder if he normally salvages green tractors. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3801061774&category=61592

List of what's there is shorter than the list of what's missing.

John,

You're right... he has really high hopes. Even if he had a true demonstrator, which he doesn't, in that condition it would be worth much less than the one Maritimer just got for $100, complete and with implements. His serial number puts it much later (1952) than the range for demonstrators... by about two years!!!

I'll bet it would be interesting to steer as he claims it will, with the tie rods missing.

When they start arresting these guys, he will be one of the first.

Maybe I should CC this message to him? Oh, O.K.!

If an AGCO dealer brought a big silver tractor out to your farm and ran it in front of you a few years back would that be a "White demonstrator" too? :D
The rest of it don't look so bad if it was $900. less but that seat doesn't look very comfortable. :D
