What is the correct color for a 1951 McCormick-Deering Farmall Cub? Is it # IH 2150 rouge red? What is the best source for this paint?

Yup IH 2150 Rouge/Red is the right colour.

And yes, Rouge is Red in French, but I did not think that needed to be explained. Since most products manufactured for sale in North American are either labeled in English and French, or English and Spanish, or English, French and Spanish, most manufacturers do not print separate labels for Canada or the US or even Mexico, but use the generics..... and commonly some are refered to by both linguistic versions... it gets to be a habit....

The most important point here is the colour code which is 2150 and not Harvester, or IH 50 or Harvester 50 or #51, #150B, #1009A, #1102B or any of the other variations. As long as you use 2150 as the code when ordering either from your dealer or getting a match at a local auto paint store you will be okay.

You can get it from you Case IH Dealer (now CNH) and it is called IronClad.

If you check the manual server at the link below, and go to the Paint Chart under Paint, Decals and Other Finish?, you will see the cross reference numbers for a number of national automotive paint codes.

Hope this helps

The color is red not rouge red.
Rouge is just RED in French. The can is labeled in both French and English. :-)
