How does one remove the nameplates on a Cub so outfitted. Mine is a 1960 Lo-Boy and has aluminum nameplates on both sides. Want to remove them to paint and want to re-install after painting.
Nameplates are attached through sheet metal with fasteners on the inside.
What will I use to refasten?
Thanks

Kajun,
Whatever you do, don't try to pry them off from the outside. Tap the end of the pins a little at a time from the inside and you'll avoid breaking them off. After the pins are out, the fasteners can be removed by squeezing them with pliers. I've never removed one that couldn't be re-used.

I was just trying to be of some help. I don't have the knowledge that these other gentlemen have and I struggle with mental illness to the point I almost can't function. I just know that if you needed some, the dealer still have them (the fasteners) Paul K.in N.H.
