the dog legs attach to the front rad support with four screws. what type and size fastener is correct?
i recall using 1/4 20 on the '48, but Primer Pete seems to be 12/24.

The parts book calls for 10-24 machine screws with slotted heads.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Hi All
On the same note, I was wondering the size of the bolts that are at the very top of the dog leg and fasten the very top of the dog leg to the hood. On my 61 the nuts are welded inside the hood, one is missing. I looked in the manual, but I am not so good with the manuals. THANKS Paul K. in N.H.

Frankly, i didn't even look in the parts book. each time i've looked for a bolt type / length in tc-37, the fasteners are conspicuously missing. i think i'll start making notes in the margins.
Thanks, Jim, for the detailed info

Typically, special fasteners are included in the illustrations and have reference numbers. For example the drawbar bolts are illustrated.
Standard hardware items are not normally illustrated and are only listed along with the part they hold. Here is an example of the bolts that hold the rear wheel weights (3 inches long for the first, 6 1/4 for the second).
