The patent on the Cub blade is 2,700,233. The patentable feature was the ability to mount it both in front and in the middle. If you want to see the patent (includeing 4 drawings) it is on line. I hope this long link works.

When I look at the page, my machine uses the QuickTime viewer to display the picture. This seems odd to me but it worked so I didn't worry about it. When I tried the page just now, I got a "search time limit has expired" message. After that, I clicked on "full text" them the "images" button and it came up.
Maybe you will have better luck doin a search from scratch:
1) http://www.uspto.gov/
2) Hit "Patents Search" (left side of screen)
3) Hit "Patent Number Search" (left side of that screen)
4) Type in 2700233 and hit "search"
5) You should now have a page where you can click the "Images" button to see it.
