Shade Tree Data: Woodruff Keys

Shade Tree Data: Woodruff Keys

The intrepid Shade Tree Mechanics have put together a list of all the Woodruff Keys used in the Cub Tractor. The TC-37A Parts Catalog has cross references to the Woodruff Key numbers. But the later Parts Catalogs only refer to the key by the part number and dimensions. But all is not lost. MSC (a supplier to machine shops and other industrial concerns), has a table in their Big Book that has a list of all the Woodruff Keys, their dimensions and a USA Std. No. We think that the USA Std. No. allows manufacturers other than Woodruff to also make Keys. In any event, the list of the Woodruff Keys used in the Cub are shown below in a gif, taken from the spreadsheet. The list is also in text format below the gif.

On the off chance that you lose a key or need an extra, you now know what to ask for.

Does Touch Control Key = Touch Control Pump Key?

The entry for the Touch Control just says "Key" unlike all the other descriptions which come from the Parts Catalog. This is the only instance I could find of a Woodruff Key in the Touch Control. If you have a better description, let me know and I'll change the information.

Rick, I'm pretty sure that the only Woodruff key in the Touch Control system is on the pump. Others can verify that.
