H Hydraulics
Which ports on the H would I use to put say a loader on it? I know I have to have a valve etc, but can I just use the hydro ports it has on it to do that? and I wouldn't have live hydros either, correct?
Thanks for any help
does anybody have any closeups of a loader on an H?
Thanks again

Johnny - the front port on each side of the torque tube will give you lift for one way cylinders.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

There is a 2 way valve set-up. We had one on one of our M's when I was a kid. Either way, I forgot to mention in the other reply - you are correct, the belly pump does not provide live hydraulics. You will have to consider adding a live pump if that's what you want.

I'm not sure what kind it is, it doesn't have any markings on it, but the guy who used to use it way back said that it was for an H...

Jostev, Another to do is add a auxillary valve to your hydrualics. Its not live hyd. but they work a 2 way clyinder the same (up and down pressure) and by bungee strapping the pump handle you only have to use one handle. The oil would just circulate through the valve and back to the tank. They are easy to rebuild if you can find one they only have 2 o-rings inside.

thanks TJ, that's what I was thinking on doing.... then I got looking in my manual, and it has an axilary valve but using the two hydro ports on the right side? one uses the "vent" I'm assuming that would be the return?
Thanks for the help

Yes you would use the right side ports pressure hose to the valve from pump, 2 hoses to your clyinder (up and down) the return from the valve is the dipstick tube. If you add this you will need to have a longer and flexiable dipstick pipe fittings added to fill/dipstick tube will not let the striaght stick work or read accurately.
I borrowed my neibors original dipstick for the valve cut mine into added a 6011 welding rod to make my own.
Sorry I don't have any picures loaded up or you could see alot better than I can explain it.
I'm at work and won't be home for a couple of weeks to take any.

Johnny, I think you will find that is not a 2 way cylinder. It holds oil in the top half and as it goes up it returns it to the top of the hydraulic system so it has enough fluid to lift it all the way. I hope you got both cylinders, and not jsut the one, because finding a second one will be a bear.
Here is a picture of what I think you need to hook up the lines to the filler. I have a parts list to make it form standard pipe fittings.

so John the right solid fitting in your picture goes into the filler? and then each of the hoses go to the hydro setup on the loader? any more pics? they help alot...
Thanks again for all the help

That is the way it goes johnny, the sold thing is actually a coupler you screw onto the filler, and then the top half of the coupler with the pipes attaches to it. To know for sure on the cylinder you will have to take one apart and see what kind of cup it has on the end of the ram, but the chances of those being 2 way cylinders are pretty slim.

ok, thanks John
i think their the single action pistons because the pipe that goes to the "top" towards the piston is really really tiny, and I was just thinking that the return hose that would go to the tractor is fairly light duty...
Thanks for the hlp
