Moving 6V battery from Cub to neg ground vehicle

Postby spaulman » Tue Apr 06, 2004 12:01 pm

This is borderline off-topic but does involve my Cub. The battery in my 6V Jeep is toast. Is there any reason that I couldn't 'borrow' the 6V battery from my Cub and run it in in the Jeep until I can pick up a new battery? I don't think that the fact that the Cub is positive ground changes anything internally with the battery but figured I would check with the experts first. Thanks!

It will work just fine. The battery doesn't care about polarity.

I think the old Jeeps all used a group 1 battery didn't they? When you go buy a battery for the Jeep or the Cub, you get the same one.
