Your picture shows the main harness going under the gas tank the battery cable goes under the floor board.

Main battery cable never went under the gas tank on any cub or loboy

Sorry you are correct it then drops down to the starter post. There is a large clip along the edge ot the gas tank to hold it up out of the way. The clip is welded on to the bottom of the tank.

Sorry I goofed on the first note guess we see to many different ones every day.
