RD- My Dad has a 450 that was my Grandpa's. I bushhogged with it around 3 years ago. For some reason, my Grandpa parked it (drained gas, inside polebarn). I have heard it was either a knock in the engine (rod bearings?) or maybe a slow-responding govenor? That's the 2 stories I've heard. We are gonna try to get it started sometime soon to check it out. Its definitely still in its work clothes, but I'll take a picture of it for you when I can.

I got one...

in kit form.

Actually it's been and is a good running and working tractor. That was taken in the middle of a repair. For some reason, I can't find a picture of the tractor on this computer. But I got plenty on the other one. I'll get ya one, I swear.

OK, here she is in her dress clothes...

She doesn't look that good any more because she is a working tractor. And she's had a rough few years since that picture was taken. Still got to dig out the picture of her with the loader.

I used to have a farmall 350. Was a nice running tractor and great to use. Only bad point were the brakes. TERRIBLE. The discs were glazed and it took for ever to get her to stop.

They put brakes on em? You're kidding! I gotta look into that.

Found out mine didn't really have brakes when I unloaded it from the trailer the first time. 8 years ago. One of these days I'll get them things fixed...

If all you are going to do is light work the 350 is a lot better tractor than the 450 if only for fuel usage. With gas nearing (or exceding) $3.00 a gallon again it gets pretty expensive to feed a 450.
Freedom is for those that claim it.
