Knee Surgery

Postby Phillip W. Lenke » Mon Oct 22, 2007 8:59 am

I will be having Knee surgery on Oct 30th, Please lift up prayers for a speedy recovery. This may sound selfish , but the simplest things seem to be the most problems, The plus side I will be off work for a week ,Can hone in on the windbreaker design.

Phil:

Been there done that, both knees... miniscotomies.. So yeah.. you got it... In the prayer list.

Biggest help.. do what they tell you to do.. if they say sit and relax.. you sit and relax... will get you up and around a bit faster..

Stay cheerful.

Don't get too used to loafing Phil! You'll be back on your feet before you know it.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Marilyn has had a total replacement and is in her second week at a rehab facility. They say she's doing well.

Is your surgery to repair your damaged ACL?

Good luck with it.

George:

Was Marilyn's knee replaced recently?

No it is the left knee, scope. Numerous years of pitching ,playing Basket ball up till last season, took its toll. The final hit was an outing at Mudhens stadium in Toledo, My brother talked me into , hitting Batting practice Fielding , mainly for bragging rights , well I turned really hard on a couple, Hit it 365 over left center field wall twice. Wooden bats to boot.
the next day it swelled up and could hardly walk. Went in and the Doc just shook his head. I guess time to quit.
There is a worn spot on the femur, Chip , he is looking at Scar tissue etc,
Incidently .I did get my HR ball.

Yes, on Oct. 10. She and I have both had repairs via scope earlier. Our recoveries both took much longer than a week.

You got em Phil.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Best to you PWL. Marilyn too. Knee replacement and repair is quite common and successful these days.
