Orchard tractors

Postby Island Cubber » Thu Oct 11, 2007 5:54 pm

Hello all, I thought i would put a couple pics of a McCormick Deering OS-6 that my 2 boys and I fell in love with this summer. We hope that we will be able to aquire this beast within the next year. While searching the net I was not able to find very many pics of the OS-4 or the OS-6 anyone else got one or willing to share some pics? Thanks Don

Don,
I'm in the "thinking" stage again. I had one mocked up, didn't like the looks of it, and scrapped the whole idea, so I'm thinkin' again. Since I'm 6'2" and weigh more than I should, that kinda has a bearing on what I build.........it's no fun if I don't fit, or if the tractor is out of proportions so I can fit. The idea I scrapped was because everything didn't fit.

As I keep finding Orchard pics I'll add em here. This is one that almost got by me before I could get my camera ready hehe. Made for a nice close up of the skirt / fender. This was in Lynden Wa.
If you have some pics that you want to share e mail em to me with some description & I will post em for ya.

Wouldn't it be neat if someone came up with an "Orchard Kit" for a Cub? I know that we have seen "Vineyard" cubs and home made vineyard cubs running around, but an Orchard cub would be pretty cool...

Mike,

GW has the "RatCub" in progress, maybe you can talk him into another step. :) :)
