Removing Governor

Postby Paul_NJ » Mon May 10, 2004 5:12 pm

Can I get into trouble (such as losing a setting, etc) by removing the governor to degrease and clean prior to painting, ? I've got everything off but that, but I noticed one of the two bolts (from the radiator side) is wired (looks like a factory original) to another bolt. That suggests to me to stay away from it. But it would make cleanup easier.

Just thought I'd ask. Thanks

Paul

Go ahead and take the gov. off just dont take out the screw with the safty wire on it or you will have to reset it
Which isnt to hard just use a dwell meter and tack to reset it

Whoa Paul,
You better take Donny's advice and do alittle investigating before putting a wrench on it. Check out Rudi's web site for information :!:
Lord, give me wisdom. And if you ain't got none to spare, help me find someone willing to share.
