Well I guess the can't help its has finally hit my home front. I started feeling like I was going to pass out at work last night. Went to medical dept and my blood pressure was 184/130 and pulse was 140. The gave me some meds and I came up front and chatted on flash chat a bit. It came down a little bit. I went to the Dr today and payed him a a visit. I have never had problems with High BP but he told me today that i have had it for a while now. It has damaged parts of my eyes (which explains the blurring vision). He didn't like the way the ol ticker was beating either among quite a few other things that was abnormal, so January is when all the heart tests begin for me :?

He told me if I didn't slow down I would be dead by 35, so that really brought reality into play today. So all I am asking to say a prayer that everything turns out ok for me. :D

thanks fellas

Wow, Josh slow down! I cant imagine how that felt hearing that today. I'm sorry to hear that and of course you'll be on my list! Why dont you come down and chilax with me some 8) ?! Otherwise just take life a day at a time and enjoy it. I hope you have a very relaxing and great Christmas.

Thanks BD. whats got me worried is heart problems run in the family bad. So hopefully its passing me up, heart problems that it is :D

I hate going to the doctor as much as anyone, but when they tell me to do something I pretty much listen. Take a rest Josh and enjoy the winter, those cubs will be waiting for you when you get to them. Get your health back and then take each day as it comes.

I tried to over do it this summer with the barn restoration and realized I couldn't slay all the dragons by myself so I backed off a bit. You can too.

Our prayers are definitely with you.

Will do Josh, stop and smell the roses for a while. Everything will still be here when you get well, Best of luck, Pete

WELL brother. Its like this BD said it the best your to YOUNG. Lets put one thing to mind remember your kids & wife & freinds.

Podge first of all you are in a stressfull business and that brings some of the trouble on. However having had problems myself years ago please know that the heart is a marvelous organ. With the technology and medications that are available now and if you have the good sense to do what they tell you to do you will be fine. We all get our wake up calls at some point in our life and be glad you still have the opportunity to get well. The only suggestion I would make is find the biggest and best Cardiology facilty in your area and go there. Best of luck I am sure you will be OK. Keep us posted and don't be afraid. Don

Wow!!!And I thought I had problems!!!Slow down!!Take care of yourself!!!I'm out of work ,but I do have my health.Prayers sent!!!You have family,so LISTEN TO THE DOC!!!!!I don't like docs but you have to listen to them!!!TAKE CARE.Kevin

As everyone said slow down and all that stuff. I guess the bright side here is you will be able to fix things and I am sure you can overcome this. Thank goodness you went to the Dr. when you did, not on a stretcher. Enjoy the holidays and your family.

Podge, man...

WHOA!!! 16 hour days are just TOO much... you need to take a chill, my friend. I hope that all works out well at your tests. Prayers are on the way!

YOU BEST MIND YOUR DOC!

Good Dietary practices, proper rest, less worry etc., in addition to proper medications as prescribed such a Metropolol (Lopressor) and other BP Meds will reduce not only your high blood pressure, but also the risk of Type 2 Diabetes. Don't ask why I know all this ok???

Without question you are in our prayers and we shall pray for you daily. This is a close to my heart issue. When I was 38 years old Em and I had 5 kids, 3 under the age of 5... I was given 6 months - DOA by Christmas. Talk about a slap in the yap and land on yer butt moment :!: But, thankfully faith in the Lord, faith in the Lord's plan which included the very best doctors and care teams in the world, the greatest family a man could want, all the love I needed and the prayers of my friends and family, 16 years later I am going to celebrate another Christmas I was not supposed to have with my family.

You will survive! And you will have many many more Christmases with your family :!: :D

Hey Josh, Buddy that is not a good thing it's Christmas slow down and enjoy that blurred vision was my first sign of diabetes I suppose they have checked that. Anyhow prayers are on the way and don't even think about our deal until way down the road.

Yeah, That's my biggest problem. It's hard for me to admit I can't slay all the dragons either. Time goes so fast, most of the time we forget to enjoy life.

Slow down Podge. I'm 35, but most of the time I feel like I'm 60. Believe me, time WILL catch up with you. I'm paying now for some of my work methods from when I was younger.

Heart problems run in my family on both sides. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You'll also be in our prayers.

OH WOW man  Not my night shift buddy  Ease up guy
and spent some quality time with the young'uns and those CUBS!
A routine 16 hours a day is WAY too much! You should be spending
at least 4 hrs a day on the floor playing tractors with the kids, and
another 4 with the wonderful wife. You got's too much to live for,
so do your job and LIVE!!

PS We here on the forum want you with us for a looooooong time :)
