Cub update - Missy has a problem

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Tue May 18, 2004 9:51 pm

Had a call from Cub-Bud this evening, and there is a problem with Missy. He keeps hearing a brief growl immediately followed by a roar. Happens everytine he pulls the starter rod. Guess I'll have to drive down to Mississippi this week end to check it out. Image  Image  Image

Is this growl & roar before the engine starts?. If so you may be in luck with finding its a dry or vibrating ?bearing? Somewhere?.

Thats just My wildazz guess for this evening.

John, when you go to Mississippi, you need to stop by Rector and see my stable of Cubs. I know you are anxious to see your Cub and hear her run. Garvin

John, the growl is the starter cranking the engine, and the roar is the engine with no muffler. :D

Enjoy your trip. Send some pictures if you have time. If there is a problem with the Missy, I'm sure you and CB can get it figured out. Be careful.

Hey John,

I'm in Greenville, MS only about 2.5 hrs away :!: :!: I could pick Missy up for you if I could find the time. That would give you an excuse to go to CA or TX. When you finally caught up with Missy she would have been fully tested.

Bigdog will give me #$#@ for not retrieving this easy target.

I tried to find some time last weekend to go over and visit with Bud and Russ but I really need to finish this job and get home. Merry is cma with this move thing and bless her heart she's doing a great job but it's a overwhelming task.

My apoligies to Bud and Russ
