Boy, am I happy!

Postby itllbejohn » Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:53 pm

Our barn finally has electricity! :D :D :D We found an electrician back in September, and as of the weekend just before New Years Day, the job was finished! We have outlets for a welder, a 30 amp rv hookup on one side of the barn, lights and everything else we need. Now that the barn is electric, we can move Ruby into the barn along with christmas decorations and a ton of other stuff. That will make room for work to begin on Stinky. Wahoo! You guys can imagine how jazzed I am! Three months of just letting Stinky sit in my garage was driving me nuts.

Presently all I have is a car port. It does have electricity, and COLD RUNNING WATER whenever it rains good. If it gets sunny and warm the steel roof starts rainging. It is much much better then nothing, but I would like a garage. Hoping to do this by the end of the year.

I assume your house is several years old. 40 years ago, most houses had oil, gas, or wood heat. No microwaves, toaster ovens, Mr. Coffees, etc. 1 or at most 2 outlets per room, and a single light per room. 100 maps was way more than necessary.
