Just wanted to update you on my Dad. Apparently, he may be able to come home from the hospital today depending on whether he gets gut-sounds or not. The pain is about gone in his legs, he is only on minor pain meds for the surgical sight in his back.
He is going to have to take it really easy for the next 6-8 weeks to let the back heal, but after that, he should be good to go.
I still wish I could have been closer to be there when he was in the horsepistol...

That's good news Mike, I have already been through that ordeal. Just remind your Dad to do exactly as the Doc says and everything should be fine. Mine was 17 years ago and no more problem unless I do something stupid. Hope for your Dad the same results, good luck. Pete

Mike: I had similar surgery several years ago and have had complete relief since. My doctor insisted on daily walking exercises, starting out short distances at a slow pace and working up from there. Very good advice, I think. I hope for the best for your dad. Let us know. Dan
