The 424 could have a 2 stage clutch. Some of them are "standard," (like ours) and when you touch the clutch, everything stops.

424's are very good tractors but if you want it to handle well, get power steering or a 404.

You need to settle in on what tractor you plan to use. Then look for implements to fit the size of the tractor. You now have two H's. They will not lift, let alone pull that 3 bottom 3 pt. plow. You need a 2 bottom pull type plow. They MIGHT run the baler in first gear with LIGHT hay. For a disk, look for about a 7-8 ft. pull type.

I'm not sure what is located under the "parts" H. It doesn't look like any 3-point hitch I've seen.

$800- starting bid. You can purchase a running/working H for around $800- to $1000- in this area.

Next thing to consider is the shipping distance. Transportation from Kansas to Ohio would be expensive, even if you have the pickup and trailer.

Suggest talking to your father in-law about farming equipment and farming practices before purchasing anything else. Depending on what is currently growing/has been grown on your 20 acres, you may not need to plow to sow/grow grass (hay).
I have an excuse. CRS.

Looks like a good Unit, but for 800 thats pretty steep for a non running H .
500-600 is fair.

A 400 is a great tractor, live PTO, TA, many little comforts that make it easy and enjoyable to operate. As for plowing it will handle 3 16" or 4 14" pretty well too, but it does depened on soil condtion.

Some of the 404 tractors had lpto. , it was an option. (mine don't have it, but my 504 does have lpto on it)----either of these tractors with a 2 or 3 bottom 3pt plow will make fun job of farming small acres! I use a 72" tiller on my 404 too as well as the homemade 2-bottom plow and the 6' 3pt. disk!
The Cubs can do the lighter work. cultivating and such! thanks; sonny

I don't believe there was an LPTO option for the 404.
