49 Farmall Cub Over Haul Pics...........................

Postby TBAR » Mon Jun 28, 2004 8:27 am

I was going through some old photo albums and came across the following pictures of the rebuild on my 1949 Farmall Cub. I got the tractor from my father and the first two pictures are of him working the Cub and of his rebuild. The rest of the album is of my overhaul.

Thought ya'll might enjoy looking at these

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!

Yes, Welcome aboard!

Nice job done in what looks like pretty close quarters.
If you are like me, after I was done painting my Farmall A, the shoes were red, the eyelashes were red, the wife's favorite little table was now red  , but it looks great.

Besides having to repaint my garage door................

Well, paint sifted under the house door onto the wifes linoleum floor turning it red instead of white. I tried to convince her it was a nice terra cotta color but she wasn't buying it.

Since wifey poo was not happy she ended up getting a new tile floor out of the deal...............

Gezz this turned out to be an expensive project.

TBar:

As well - welcome to the Forum and to the Farmall Cub family. You did a nice job, great looking tractor. Sure is nice when your Cub actually has a family connection, and in your case a direct one.

Enjoy your Cub, keep the better half happy and she might let you have another one!

Again, great job and welcome :!:

All the pics both new and old were taken over in East Texas.

TBAR,
I HAVE A SMALL RANCH NEAR PALESTINE TEXAS. ARE YOU NEAR THE CROCKETT PALESTINE AREA? IS THERE ANY TRACTOR SHOWS IN THE AREA. YOUR POSTED PICTURE WITH BLADE IS A NICE SET-UP. IS IT A WORKING TRACTOR OR DO YOU MAKE SHOWS?

Larry, No I am not near Crockett..........way north of there.

Here is an abbreviated list of shows in the area. We do attend a few.

Yes the tractor still works occasionally but the majority is now done with my IH2444.
