LoBoy drawbar

Postby Paul B » Thu Jul 08, 2004 2:25 pm

I bought a 66 Lo-Boy yesterday and it has a rear drawbar (no fast hitch), but does not have a swinging drawbar or attaching parts. It is suppose to have a swinging drawbar or was that an option or was it not used on the later tractors. The tractor had a sickle bar mower on it which I helped take off because I didn't want it. Would a swinging drawbar, if it had on, have been removed to install the mower?

Paul, I believe the swinging drawbar was an option and not standard. In either case, it probably would interfere with a mid mounted sickle bar mower.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Considering the fact that the anchor bar for a swiging drawbar mounts in the front bolt holes of the fjnal drive, I doubt one would work with a lowboy, since it's final drives are roatated forward.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

John, there is one shown in the TC-37F parts catalog for a Cub Lo-Boy, and the part numbers for both the anchor bar and the swinging drawbar are different than for a Cub, but I don't know where it connects. Picture shows the anchor bar turned upside down compared to the one for a Cub.

Never looked at a Lo-Boy with a swinging drawbar. I suspect the cross bar bolts to the side plates of the regular drawbar. If so, both parts would probably be shorter that the corresponding parts on a Farmall.
