Spark Plug question

Postby tompotato » Fri Jul 16, 2004 7:08 am

There was a post here a couple of days ago that recommended a D-19 spark plug.. What would be the gap setting? I am going to try that in my cub. The cub runs great starts good when cold but when its warm I have a terrible problem to get it started it acts like its going to start then doesn't quite make it and of course the starter has kicked out.

Thanks
Tom

I had that same problem. What spark plug are you running right now?
You might want to go with a d-16 a cooler plug. Sounds like your tractor is getting hot.
My problem was the timing was to far advanced. Once I got the timing set right it fixed my problem.
