Rear wheel bolt?
I ordered some wheel bolts yesterday and got them today. They are too long they are 2.875 long and I need 1.750. The part number I recieved is 351510R3 should I have ordered 351085R1
What were the longer bolts used for

I ordered that bolt because the Cub has 8.4" tires and I wasn't sure of the rim p/n. In the parts book it calls for that p/n for that sized tire or rim size. I would now guess my guess was incorrect as the bolt, I now think I need is the 351085R1 used with the 351084R91 rim. Most likley it's that someone put a 8.4" tire on the 351084R91 rim.
This is for my 55 which had many other hands involved.
Does any of this make sense
Shoot now I'm confused

I didn't look under "dual rear wheels" until your last post. I looked under the entry for 114 717 C1 where it says "replaces 351 428 R91".
Whenever a "replaces" part number is listed, you have a high probability the old part is what is on the tractor. If there is a comment "also furnish . . ." and you are trying to replace the parts in the "also furnish" listing, it can be difficult to determine the right one to order.

Well I sure hope 351085R1 is correct, cause I just ordered 8 of em at $4 and change EACH These are the square headed bolts that fit inside the square lugs that hold the rim to the dish. I was sure the one decent one I had left was 2 inches long.
Why would you need 1-3/4". Is there a difference between the 7", 8" and 9" rims??
Oh, and it will take 2 weeks to get here......... my dealer has to start stocking A LOT more CUB PARTS

Donny;
I guess we will both find out real soon
You know, I can't even get 1/2"-13 x 3" carriage bolts locally. Got to order them. Dana at my favourite fastener supplier doesn't even have them in stock. Couple days I guess

Parts man,
You really know how to hurt a guy hand fulls
I just paid $3.48 each plus a 25% restocking fee on my mistake.
Your name "Parts man" reminds me of a childhood friend. His name was Eddie Mann.
One time at about age 12, we got stopped by the local law. We were asked our names I told the law my name and Eddie tells them "I'm Eddie,,,,,,,,,Mann" The law didn't take kindly to that and asked him again, they got the same reply "I'm Eddie,,,,,,,,Mann". We sat in the back of that car for about an hour until they figured out that his name was really Eddie,,,,,,,,,Mann.

Hey Rudi,
I just got back from the parts house and picked up the bolts. This time we got it right. $3.48 each no tax Correct length.
As for not being able to get carriage bolts locally. I've had the same problem in other places...made me want to open my own store and carry everything I need....and some things I don't
Thanks Jim, you're the bolts man
