First off I am thankful you are relatively unscaved ( easy for me to say ) , considering what could have happened. May you ahve a speedy recovery. Thanks for posting the picture to remind us all the dangers that are out there every day.

I hope you have a speedy recovery. The picture says a lot. My hopes and prayers are that you heal quickly, but that others(including myself) learn from this unfortunate tragedy. And (not that it matters that much) how is the loboy?

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Wow Mike, I'm glad your alive! It's unfortunate that things like this happen but when they do, they remind all of us how complacent we ALL become while running our machines. Your misfortune sure gave me a wake up call! It doesn't even look like a steep grade.

Re: Bad Accident
Wow, Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I will be ok thanks to the grace of God. Its hard to believe how quickly it happened, and that I didn't break my pencil neck. I'de been over the gounnd there several times so it was loose at least 6 inches. I slammed the left side of my head a good one too..can't open my mouth but about 1/4" and can't chew food yet. Breathing is in baby small breaths, no coughing is right George. My loboy is named Tuffy. He survived pretty well. I had just finished up on the sheet metal straightening a week ago. My good friend Arizona Bob was here right away, righted Tuffy, pulled him to the back and started him right up.
Do i have to turn in my Cub Pro badge now?
on the mend. and thanks eveyone

Re: Bad Accident
Mike, I'm sorry to hear you were hurt so badly in the accident. I guess we can always say it could have been worse, but that does not lessen the pain any. You've given everyone a reminder that as much fun as these tractors are, they can still be very dangerous (like any equipment), even in when we are being cautious.
After you heal, I'd love it if you could jot down some thoughts in the new safety forum for others to read. Hopefully, your unfortunate first hand and painful experience can help others from having to go through the same thing.
Kick back and heal quickly my friend, we are all pulling for your speedy recovery.

Re: Bad Accident
Wow. Glad you came through it as well as you did. I bet next time somebody says "if such and such happens, I'll just <step on the clutch>, <hit the brake>, <kill the engine>", you will have a comment or two. Here's to a speedy recovery.
No, but you may have to wear it up side down, or at least turned on its side, for a while.
