From the looks of the pics, the hill didn't look all that steep. Man, things just happen so easy. Take care. Roy In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. - Albert Einstein

Re: Bad AccidentMaybe it's time to go through this "but how's the bike" process since the busted up bones of the operator are known and beyond our control, other than to offer sympathy?
1. It looks like the steering post, as expected, is bent... More down than sideways. 2. Of course, the steering wheel. 3. Fortunately, Tuffy wasn't wearing the original 11 bar grille. 4. We already know how good you are at fitting grilles. 5. The hood looks like the loose dirt was a good thing. 6. How are the hood supports, hood mounting brackets, radiator tank, air cleaner, and instrument panel? 7. How much did the battery fly around since it appears to not be anchored? Was any acid spilled? 8. Maybe should be #1, it's great to have friends who will/can rush in in time of need. 9. I feel silly commenting about your sig file. George Willer

Re: Bad AccidentBest wishes for a speedy recovery - neighbor tipped his regular cub several times mowing roadsides. It can happen and too quick to react!

Re: Bad AccidentSorry about the accident, really tough break. You will be in my prayers. Lord willing, a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.
Everyone be safe out there this weekend.
Re: Bad Accident
Mike, I agree with Dave, your cub is a twin to mine and yes that hill isn't what I'd consider a hill, certinly not what I had considered to tackle in my back yard before posting on it and then reconsidering. I could have very easily done the same thing you did and wouldn't consider this accident as something that could have been easily forseen. Very sobering for sure. Bad things happen to good people too often and I'm very sorry this came your way. Will be praying for you. The damage to the cub doesn't look too bad and when you're ready fixing it could be considered good therapy. Mike. Quote by Gary Pickeral I like
