Magneto mounting question

Postby Ken (48 Cub) » Wed Aug 11, 2004 1:42 pm

I am finally ready to mount the rebuilt mag to the block. I know that a 3/8" bolt hold the bottom but what hold the top? There is a 1/4" threaded stud sticking out about 1 inch at the top. Does a clip or something go on it?

Anyone have a detailed photo of a mounted magneto?

Thanks,
Ken, Annie the '48.

I think we gotter if'n she don't jump, Andy Griffith.

Ken, there is a clip and a nut that goes on that stud. See picture:

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
