Do you know this tractor

Postby birddogn » Thu Jun 12, 2008 8:27 pm

I am looking at buying an old Farmall from a friend. He said it is a 1954 Farmall 130. It is a small tractor (23 HP I think) with tool bar that sits under the engine. The engine sits off to the left side of the tractor. I don't know how to rate tractors, but this one is pretty clean and everything works. The serial # on the left side of the motor is 10029J.

Is anyone familair with this tractor and what should I expect to pay?

It is basically an updated Super A, with a 123 CID engine.

Thanks for the infomation. From what I can tell this tractor was only produced for a few years as a 130. I don't know how to rate tractors. This one seems to be in good shape, runs well and is pretty clean for being 50 years old. Doesn't appeart to have ever been restored or painted, just taken care of. What is a general price range for this model in running/working condition with cultivators, rear chains and a blade for the back?

Does it have a fast hitch? It could sell for anywhere from $2500.00 to $4000.00 for a good tractor here in Northwest NC. I have seen them priced higher than that but I don't know if they sold or not. The 100, 130, 140 series are all very similar but you don't see many of the 130 because of the few years they were made. They are a great tractor for cultivating or working a small garden.
