New Cub Owner & Member (Southwest, MO)

Postby mtmhintcub » Fri Jul 04, 2008 9:28 pm

Greetings from Southwest, MO:I am a new Member to the site and Cub Owner. I have a 1949 Farmall Cub with a belly-mount mower that I have recently purchased. I am enjoying tinkering with it, with plans of adding a multi-bar radiator grille and blade to the tractor.

Welcome to the forum. I am from Oregon County, my wife is from Howell County and she graduated from WP high school. Several years later I taught at West Plains. You will soon be hearing from your closest Cub neighbor, Vince D. Vince and Ann live a few miles out of Bakersfield. Janie and I now live in SW Arkansas but maybe we can meet sometime when we are in West Plains. Members of this forum can and will answer almost any question which you might have about your Cub. Enjoy the forum. Dan

THANKS to all for the many kind Welcome messages! Skip generously led me to the site and provided me with some helpful information and links for parts I am seeking for my '49 Cub. I have sent a note tonight to JP Tractor Salvage re: some parts/implements I found on their site. I am looking for a multi [11] bar grille and a front [or belly mount] snow blade.

Dan: I know right where Waldo, AR is. My family and I have just recently relocated to West Plains, MO, having lived in Conway, AR the past 3-1/2 years - prior to that we have lived in KS, NE & IA. I am a native Kansan. I look forward to hearing from my Cub neighbor, Vince D. in Bakersfield. I appreciate the notes and this forum! mtmhintcub: West Plains, MO :D

Welcome to a great forum with great people. I know you will enjoy it.

I also have a '49 Cub (Frodo) that I really enjoy using. I have a second '49 under tarps as a future project - hopefully this fall.

I'm really glad there is another Cub owner in the area. :D We live on Highway V, just west of Caulfield. We do most of our shopping in West Plains.

We are going to be out of town for a few days but when we get back i will send you an e-mail. Maybe we can get together for a cup of joe and exchange lies.
