I'm almost done with the re-assembly of my Cadet 60. I have the overhaul manual but the picture for reattaching the carburetor linkage isn't very good.
Could someone post or email some pictures of theirs so I can finish this up.
The 4H Fair is in two weeks and this is my project for this year.
P.S I'll post pictures of it when I'm done.

Re: Cadet 60 Rear Engine Rider - Help!
I'm not familiar with the Cadet 60. Which engine does the mower have? Make, model, etc., also need to know which carburator is attached to the engine.
I have a stack of small engine manuals, Briggs, Kohler, etc.. Perhaps and a big perhaps I can help.
You might go to your local library - in the reference section will be a large number of small engine manuals and some times manuals for specific mowers/tractors.

The parts breakdown of the engine with the carb and linkage pieces.
Go to The C&G site http://www.cngcoinc.com/parts-browse.asp and click on parts. on the next page click on model.
in the box type "riding mower" click and the parts list for the Cadet 60 will be listed. click on that and select engine and you will see the picture posted with the parts description below it. you can zoom in to get a better picture of the parts and if you add the part to the shopping cart it will tell you if it's available and the price. This is all I can find on the 60.

Looks like you have a 6 HP Tecumseh engine. I went through the same problem with an older Tecumseh engine. Complicated linkage.
OK. Get all of the numbers off your engine. Then search for "Tecumsehpower". On that site should be a chart to cross reference the older model numbers with new Tecumseh model numbers.
Once you have the current model number. You can then locate a down loadable PDF file on the engine and installed carburator. Don't be surprised if there isn't a number of different carburators and linkage configurations.
Good luck.
OH. I believe the Cadet 60 was manufactured by MTD Corp. This site deal primarily with International Harvester manufactured machines. That is probably why the lack of a more positive response.

Those were made for IH. I never saw any other make of the bathtub riders at any show.
Cadet 55 Riding Mower-Built 1971-1983
Cadet 60 Riding Mower-Built 1967-1971
Cadet 75 Riding Mower-Built 1972-1981
Cadet 85 & 86 Riding Mower-Built 1975 & Since 32" Deck
Cadet 85 Special & 87 Riding Mower-Built 1975 & Since 28" Deck
Cadet 95 Riding Mower-Built 1973-1978
That is a good question as who did make them for IH? The 95 was an electric.
