Postby k. hansen'49cub » Sat Sep 04, 2004 11:01 am

Hello,
I have been getting my cub prep'd for paint ,after removing the fuel tank I noticed my wire harness is pretty much deteriorated ,I have a Jensales manual but it's pretty generic, could someone possible post the correct diagram please? my sn# is 96,XXX ,It has three light's, a four position switch for charging and light's ,ampmeter ,none of which worked  I am going to keep it as original as possible 6v.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You.

Keith:

Check out the Cub Manuals on the server. No JenSales junk there. The GSS-1012 Electrical should help you out the most - it is under the Blue Ribbon Service Manual link.

I learned the very hard way that the manual(s) are INVALUABLE!
I could not locate the correct diagram on Rudi's server and spent HOURS tracing down the wires (wringing them out I think is the correct term) and it was all clearly laid out in the OPERATORS MANUAL.
Well worth the $10!
The service and parts manuals are more money (27 + 23 each I think)
I also ordered the wiring harness. Not sure if it is worth $50 but the colors all match up and it seems to be a quality part.
Got them pretty quick from Carter and Gruenwald.
My tractor looks like yours, parts everywhere!

Good Luck

Keith,

I went to that show last year. Pretty interesting. Mostly I was interested because I just bought an M105A2 trailer down at Groton and was about to pick it up when I saw the signs for the show.

Pounds for dollars it was a sweet deal.. 2600# empty and I paid $200 for it. Had to modify it so I could use 2" ball and drop the hitch so I could attach it 'level' to the F250 (receiver stuck but good). Something like 18 leaf springs each side.

Let me know if I can decipher the wiring for ya.
