Who on here had a front mounted blade on their Cub?

Postby John Niekamp » Mon Sep 06, 2004 9:45 pm

I was looking through some older post and I saw someone having a front mounted blade attached to their Cub. I am wanting to locate one and stick it on mine, but all I see are the one's that go under the tractor, which would be ok, but mine is a Low-boy and don't know how well it will work with it already sitting so close to the ground.

I'm going to try selling my 8N with the back drop blade and I would like to be able to move some snow this winter. I don't know if the Cub will have enough guts to do it or not. IF not, well can still fall back on the kids, LOL!

John,

The Cub will push snow until you run out of traction :!: I have a blade for my 55 and it pushed snow to beat the band. I have a set of chains and the "Sierra Cement" was no match. I don't have to worry much about that anymore :D :D There is a blade for the LoBoy.

Donny,

I was thinking it was you that had a picture of one. Do you have any more pictures I could glance at, like the linkages and how it mounts to the front?

John

WOW, REDNED

I just posted that question to Donny and when it reloaded, there your picture was.

Thanks, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. Is that an original or could it be something new I can buy somewhere?

John,Listen to the boys...TM tractor supplied most of the linkage.Found the rusty Blade.I am still missing the lifting strap.Took the lift strap off and got a chain on it now. They have blades for the low-boy Once again check out Tom's site. I beat the  out of it this weekend and it preformed unbelievable. I have to put my rear weights on, tires spinning and digging into sand. I can't lift the weights on and put the bolts in.I am such a girly man.

I have a blade on my Loboy and it works just fine--pushes snow with the best of 'em (as long as you use chains)...
