That is one of those "your mileage may vary" type questions. From my personal experience so far, I say yes. I figure if it can increase my MPG, it must also be doing a heck of a job protecting engine parts from excessive wear too... Dennis

yeah that's true. I've used synthetic oil in my truck before... when i could get oil free... but then that stopped and I couldn't afford it anymore. I'm thinking about that royal purple, just to see if it helps. Heck with my truck, any mpg that i can gain, helps a ton.

Kind of off topic but I use Amsoil. They invented the first certified synthetic oil for car back in the 70's and changing my oil once every 25,000 miles is nice. http://www.amsoil.com/images/KnowTheFacts.gif

I persoanlly love the stuff...will not put it in my cub...it is very high detergent....I buy it for our equiptment at our power plant.....maybe 500 gallons a year....everything is happy....500 million dollar power plants don't lie...yes I tested it out here before I took it home...been using it for 9 years with no ill effects...it was 111 degrees out here the other day and we sailed right through it......
