My introduction: Joe A.

Postby Joe Andover » Thu Oct 09, 2008 10:57 pm

Hello everyone!

I have been prowling your website for over a year now and finally have a reason to join. I bought my first Farmall Cub tractor today and look forward to restoring it back to its former beauty.

My employment record does not exhibit very much "manual labor" but I am extremely capable of turning wrenches and making this tractor my own. My job experience is primarily with .gov agencies - as I have noticed quite a few of you prowl this website as well. It is nice to be in similiar company with individuals having experienced similiar professional paths.

I do not have much else to add other than I look forward to speaking with you all at some point.

Regards. Joe

Welcome Joe! We are a diverse mix here and a pretty friendly bunch as well. You will find a gathering somewhere fairly close to you I'm sure. Congratulations on your cub purchase!

Joe, you need to take in a CubFest or two and really experience the commeraderie of this group. I guarantee once you got to one you'll be anxiously awaiting the next one.

If you jump in your truck or car today and drive 5 hours you can join in the fun at Cecil's this weekend in Valatie NY. You don't need to bring a Cub just a willingness to learn and have fun.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi Joe A!

You will not hear me complaining that you aren't the "manual labor" type. I am right there with you! I have all the respect in the world for those folks who do what they do to keep the world around us physically running... I just don't have that ability...

I am a good wrench turner, though, and enjoy that part of the equation. I have learned a TON at the feet of the masters here on this forum, and I am sure that you will too. This is a great bunch of people and we have GREAT fun at what we do...

Welcome Joe, Gotta ask a question of you................Your profile states an age of "100" :!: :?: :!: :?:

So is it a "Typo" or are you in some "Secret Gov Drug Test Program" that you won't share with the rest of us :?: :!: :?:

Hey Mike, I wondered about that too. Us government employees can be a curious bunch can't we?

Congratulations on getting your very first Cub.. :applause: but I bet you that you can't stop at just one :!: :big what: :big smile: I am at a loss about the needing a reason to jump in cause if you love Cubs.. that is all the reason you need. You would not have been the first nor would you have been the last to join without first actually owning a Cub. Many of our members jumped in, learned to swim then bought their Cub...

Course, anyway ya wants to do it.. well that be ok :{_}: cause having a Cub is well a life altering experience. It is an addiction... believe me, it is an addiction :big give up:

Since you have been lurking for a while... you already know about some of what is offered here, but check the links cause there is all kinds of stuff...

Enjoy your Cub.. and set a spell :D
