Farmall A rear wheel

I'm wondering what is the easiest way to loosen a frozen rear wheel on a Farmall A?

James, you have to be really observant and careful but this works: Loosen all the lug bolts and back them out about 1/8". Then drive the tractor around making both right and left turns. The sideways thrust should break the wheel free without creating damage to the bolts.

Would this work with a front loader moving the front from side to side. This tractor doesn't run and I need to transport it.The salvage yard I bought it, from attaches chains to the front and tows it .

Search up on WEDGES before you take the wheel off, I found that out the hard way..

Since the tractor is not driveable, I'd first try spraying the hub down with penetrant and using a wooden block as a buffer, place it against the wheel and strike it with a sledge hammer. Strike in both directions to break it free. The loose wheel method will work with the tractor being towed.

Jackman by wedge are you talking about using after loosening the wheel bolts between the wheel & hub?(I like it) or to keep the tractor from rolling ?
Bigdog I had a suggestion that it could be the brake is stuck to the wheel, should I soak it with PB Blaster and let it sit a few days or would it loosen in a few hours?

I saw the wedging before I asked the question , I figured since both the front tires were flat and I'm goind to have to replace the wheels I didn't think I needed to stabilize the front but I'll be sure and do that.

James, it prevents an offset design tractor from rolling longitudinally about the hinge pin if support is reduced on one rear wheel.
